| SUMMARY
The Sales Assistant is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of an in-house sales team. This individual supports the team by providing technical data support, document review and internal and external coordination with underwriters, agents and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
Handles all initial quoting of opportunities. Receives census from sales directors, enters data into quoting software, enters opportunity information into ACT database.
Handles initial scrubbing of new business. Organizes case submission, scrubs group for missing items, requests items from the agent, collects pending items, organizes group and is responsible for sending that group into underwriting, works on any pending items with the sales director that underwriting may request, makes changes within ACT to move the group along in the opportunity steps.
Maintain supplies and files for group.
Fulfills recruitment kit requests for sales directors.
Resolves agent contracting issues and requests for sales directors.
Handles all calls that come from agents when sales directors are not available.
Produces weekly reports for team and organizes the sales board.
Miscellaneous duties within the company as needed. |
| High school diploma or GED
3 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance industry
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with databases such as ACT or Access |

| Tele-Sales Representative - Boise, ID |

| SUMMARY
The Tele-Sales Representative is responsible for calling, recruiting, training and supporting IHC’s contracted producers on behalf of our General Agents as directed by the Vice President, to distribute profitable short term health insurance, dental insurance, discount prescription drug program, overseas travel medical, and any other programs introduced and offered by the Company with an emphasis on achieving our stated sales goals. This position also is responsible for coordinating all phases of sales, special projects and phone coverage. |
| • High school diploma or GED
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 2 – 3 years experience in a Sales and Marketing environment.
• Previous experience in a health insurance environment, working with and presenting a variety of plan types and insurance products. Knowledge of IHC products preferred.
• Understanding of individual health plans, short-term medical plans and ancillary benefits a plus.
• Telephone Sales or outbound call center experience.
• Comfortable on Telephone - excellent professional telephone skills and etiquette
• Strong customer service and People Skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong PC Skills, using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and presentation software.
• Excellent project management and organization skills.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and projects.
• OH Health and/or Life, Health License a plus. If hired, attainment of OH Health License is required. |

This position will work with our development team in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining various projects including Web sites, Web applications, insurance quoting and enrollment tools, code and application testing, peer code reviews, Web and system services, and other related duties as assigned. The candidate will work both individually and in a team environment with other developers, designers, project managers and company executives. |
| • High school diploma or GED;
• An advanced degree or certification is a plus.
• A background in insurance-related development is helpful, but not required.
